Sometimes I want my zines to capture something really small and specific. Eudora is a minor character on Peanuts who was featured in strips from 1978 to 1987. She’s a little airheaded and mercurial, prone to saying spontaneous or irrational things. With little presence in the TV specials or shows, she’s mostly relegated to the attic-like memories of younger fans like me or those old enough to remember reading her strips as they came out. But I think that, like a lot of Peanuts characters, the character reads queerer and stranger the longer you listen to them. So I can imagine, from the bottom of my heart, that she would look at Snoopy, with whom she had a curious relationship, and envy his lack of self-doubt. Especially about feelings you’re too young or confused or just blank-headed to understand.
