Author’s Note

First of all, I hope that all my readers, wherever they are staying, are reading in a place of safety and warmth in these times of disease and uncertainty. This zine is part of a new fictional universe that will eventually include a novel and some more short stories. Its foundations are an ideal of femininity and softness and a steady-eyed naïvety, dwelling on the particulars of happiness and grace. I want to find out if, as I dearly hope, it can be just as powerful to train our gazes on the minutiae and emotional power of dreams and contentment as it is to dwell on the negative, on suffering. This conviction, that our beauty and our serenity are just as important and interesting as our flaws, is what drives me to write these days. Please enjoy my writing and keep yourself well.
